Yesterday, i woke up around 10 am in the morning after a night with margarita. I was pretty messed up at that time that even if i already prepared cooking my rice, i felt i needed to really eat asap. Good thing, next to our office is a Kimuel's eatery where i can find my favorite Fried Chicken.
They offer a P 25 Fried Chicken Value meal, which a fairly good price taking consideration of our location where most carenderia offer a viand alone which costs about P25 also.
The taste was good, they used butter and cornstarch on it which made it look big. The color was not golden yellow, but it was brown, which makes kind of hesitant to eat.

Golden Chicken
I have been eating at Golden Chicken since i was in my 3rd year of college. I remember everytime i get my salary i always treat myself there, eating fried chicken. At that time the fried chicken meal was only P 23. It was quite good though, the only thing that i can say about their chicken is that they taste bitter according to one of my Friend who also tried eating there. Which made me also realize that what he said was true. I guess its because of the old banana leaf they are using as plate, it makes the chicken tastes bitter.
But the real good thing about their shop is that they are kept clean. And its one good thing about Golden brown chicken.

Chicken again
Its 12 noon here in Davao, I imagine myself again eating the most satisfying chicken that i have tasted in my life. Hehe. Satisfying because it satisfies both my budget and ofcourse my tastebuds. Guess where it is? Its a local Fried Chicken Vendor here at Bajada Davao City. The place is called Chicken Tsunami. Yeah, you heard it right, its chicken tsunami! I love the taste of their chicken, they always have an after taste even if you eat the meat from the inside. Honestly saying not all chicken shops in Davao offer same Chicken Flavor as they do, and they offer unlimited ketchup and soy sauce at a very cheap price. An value meal costs P 28 only, which has 1 cup of rice and a very good slice of chicken. You can have as much rice as you can with a single slice of chicken.
And there is even more, when you dont have enough budget for a perfect meal, say for example you lost your wallet and all you have is your fare. You can save your fare and eat at Chicken tsunami, they have this maka masa value meal which they give you a slice of chicken neck for P7 only, its all upto you if youd go buy yourself rice elsewhere. A cup of rice only costs P5, it may sound stupid to buy rice anywhere else. No wonder people crowd their place everytime i get to pass by their store everyday. hehe. Try their chicken and surely you'll love it. I am not paid for this post and i say what i really experienced in there. hehe.

Justifying myself on blogging about chicken, Fried Chicken Most especially.
I dont have a great idea on how to start this blog right, but I am completely positive about this. I decided to blog about this when me and Oliver just had lunch at this Fried Chicken shop somewhere in Bolton Street here in Davao City. Well most oftenly when we find a place to eat in downtown, the best dish we both can eat is fried chicken, since Oliver is Jewish while I am an almost-carnivore being.

Blogging about chicken is pretty much broad, so to start with chicken i am thinking about blogging on Fried Chicken specifically. As this craze has intrigued me for now.
Fried Chicken shops in Davao are everywhere, you can find it on really unlikely streets of boulevard, or in the most crowded food courts of malls. Well, its already a craze here in Davao as you can see it practically everywhere. The best part of it is that its totally cheap. The cheapest fried chicken value meal i ate was P22, i never thought i could have such treat for only that much. For a P 22 meal i had all the pleasure to eat with it as many extra rice servings as i could. The slice had a fairly good size, and the taste was really great.
I cant date when this Fried Chicken craze started in Davao City, but definitely I know for myself when I first said that I do love Fried Chicken. I remember when i was just about 5 or 6 years old, i saw a tv commercial of a roasted chicken- i think it was from golden brown- at that time i could still remember how i always asked my father to buy me some of that roasted chicken, i called it "baboy na may pakpak" as i cant clearly imagine how a chicken came to look like one of that of whole chicken roasted. Looking at it I imagined it as pig's head. Well at that moment i was certain that i like Chicken.
Fried Chicken Shops are too many here in Davao but I would blog about them as detailed as possible. Ill be wandering over the streets and tell you guys pros and cons on eating at these Fried Chicken Shops in Davao. SO HOLD ON TO my BLog and read it.
